I think that editing is fairly easy, it just takes time. For the career catalog I think the questions are a bit hard to understand. I was confused for a while when I was doing it. The creative writing is weird, or at least the picture we wrote about was. That painting could have literally been anything, and I had to make something up that probably doesn't even go with anything about anything involving a painting.
I'm glad to hear that the class is challenging you to see things from different angles. I gather that your patience is in good order, which will work well fro you with our long term projects. Beyond that, what do you hope to ficus on as a goal as we move into the next weeks?
A1.5 Research and analyze the work of an artist or designer and how the artist’s distinctive
style contributes to their industry production.
Say an actor in a movie (you) had to play a role that cant be played by anyone else but you....they choose you to do this role because they think that you are the only one that has the skills and knowledge of acting to fulfill this part without you know...mess ups and stuff. For example Kristren Stewart in twilight. The character she played was Bella, and she was emotionless and dull the whole movie....Its like that for a reason. In order for her to play a role in that movie someone had to say "Hey...she is perfect for this character from this book that I read". For this reason she made an impact in the movie (even thought that movie is terrible) .
So erm....I hope in the next few weeks a can work on my craftsmanship in editing my thingies.....I noticed while i was editing that my stuff was sloppy and unorganized. I wanna fix that... :}
Film to me is exactly like an art. Like in a painting, you express how you feel or what you see by displaying it to someone or...some group of people. Its the same thing for a film.
One of the most interesting things that I have done is replace my face with someone else's....I think that is just about the best thing about adobe. The editing possibilities are broad...but...i feel like they aren't broad enough. I like to edit video just because, so i think adobe is a good place to start. I might just start a youtube channel about how to edit!
What is your best project you have edited in Adobe After Effects
Idk my melodrama....ye...melodrama. The more footage I have to work with the better the film will be.
Tell how viewing the film classic "Metropolis" (Fritz Lang, 1927) has influenced your view of watching black & white silent films. How does understanding the power of montage change your understanding of film? How are you applying these lessons to your own film making? How has your film-making, in regard to the process (writing/planning/filming/editing), grown since the beginning of the term?
I don't think that Metropolis was very helpful in changing my opinion or view of any type of film making that have been made in the past. Although it did give a good example of montage and changing shots to show different angles, I will not be using these examples at all. I think i will find my own ways of making films...My editing and filming has not changed much since the start of the term in my opinion. I've not noticed a change in the way my films are being edited or the way they are turning out. Meh...
Hey man. I'm just here letting you know that I love your work and
I appreciate everything your doing. You got some great talent. Also I see a great future ahead of you. Stay blessed my man *prayer emoji*.
I appreciate your commitment to the films we make as a group bruh,.
I enjoyed your wicked edits on your recent video (melodrama). I disagree with your opinion about Metropolis. For me it changed my opinion about black and white films but hey that's opinion.
your a quiet but good film editor/actor
Discuss your growing insight into the possibilities of college after hearing form the representative from the Academy of Art University in SF. Discuss your own college goals and what steps your taking toward your post-high school education.
I would love to go to this college and do lots of thing like....editing and character designs, concept art and all that good stuff.I wanna work for Riot cause they need someone that knows about character designs and stuff. They need more champs.
I don't think i like working in the studio.....I like natural lighting better bruh. 1/10 would rate again.
As you study the history of cinema, discuss how you are finding connections to the types of filming, stories, and characters of films today.
Also, as you become more adept at shooting film and editing, describe how your point of view may be changing when it comes to watch media.
There is a very clear connection between films now and films back then. For one, a human character feels the same emotion when playing a role that needs a certain feeling or something like that. When I watch films and look back my film I see that my films aren't that great compared to others. My films are lacking something (My acting) that I can fix very easily, I just haven't noticed it until now.
Hitchcock is know as the Master of Suspense. Recall in detail a time when you felt a film had you most on edge--- either scared, excited, distressed, or passionate. What do you remember from the film itself (text, lighting, sound, set-up) that you believe made it truly effective? As a film maker yourself, what emotions do you think you'd be best at effecting in your audience and how do you imagine you would go about doing it?
I remember a movie called Wall-E that made me pretty distressed. There was a whole bunch of obese people. Wall-E goes to help the people get healthy so he has to fight them. Pretty suspenseful right? Or that one movie transformers. That big dino was hiding from bumble bee and then the music got all loud and the dino popped out of nowhere and scared me.
Describe your most recent shoot recording music videos. Which song did you choose and what type of concept or mixture of concepts did you capture. Describe what you envision the final product to look like and how you'd define it in regard to "documentary," low concept," &/or "high concept."
IDK...LIKE I WOULD USE SLOW MOTION TO MAKE IT LOOK COOL. WE DID THE SONG "LA CONFIDENTIAL". IT GOES WELL WITH THE THING WE ARE DOING ATM. I THINK THE MUSIC VIDEO THAT I WILL MAKE WILL BE VERY SLOW MOTION AND SPED UP. LIKE COOL LOOKING, YOU KNOW? LIKE...........

Give your classmates some kudos and "award" them on their blog. Reply to at least two peers using an awards season "Best _________" and tell them why you feel they deserve that award! I give jermy the award of best actor because of the past 2 films we made.
